PAST EVENTS

First World War Centenary

 

As part of the First World War Centenary, seminars have been organized:

  • In Thessalonic from October 15 to 22, 2016

  • In Berlin from April 16 to 23, 2017

  • In Bordeaux in 2018 (coming soon)

 

Those meetings make possible to recount the stories, forgotten memories, and links that unite each cultures.

 

Meetings were marked by visits of historic sites, museums, pedagogical coffee, experts meetings, intercultural receptions, Wokshop, assessment, exchanges between each countries.

Social Intervention, Youth and animation in migration context: challenges in Europe OFAJ CEMEA AQUITAINE

 

As part of the social intervention, youth and animation in migration context, 3 seminars were realized:

 

  • Athens from April 16 to 23, 2016

  • Gastouni from October 1 to 8, 2016

  • Bordeaux from June 18 to 25, 2017

Meetings were organized with the aim of discover the daily life of each. Linguistic animations, visits, workshop, discussions, pedagogic coffees, allowed for supported intercultural exchanges between different participants: French, Germans and Grecs.

 

The next seminar will be at Berlin in October 2017.

C.E.I.D. Project "Greece"

 

From November 2 to 12 2016, KNAP Hermes welcomed the C.E.I.D. of Bordeaux (Study Committee on drugs and addictions).

 

This project has been originated by Mr. Yves Lantheaume and his team. The objective of the mission was to create a horticultural greenhouse in LM Village (Syrian Refugees center) in Myrsini, in order to sustain agriculture and help the refugee community become self-sustained as far as their food is concerned.

 

Thanks to this action, the refugee Syrian families became more independent.

A second edition has been realized in April 2017 to continue the project.

Circus Days in April / Active Nomads

 

 

From April 15 to 25 2017, K.N.A.P. HERMES has organized workshop and events in partnership with:

 

  • Bordeaux Circus School (L’Ecole de Cirque de Bordeaux)

  • Centre d’animation de Bastide Queyries - Bordeaux

  • Athens Circus School (Circus Dayz) with Constantin Vazaios

  • Association “Tout est possible” with Sadia Hadj Abdelkader

  • CEMEA Acquitaine

  • ERASMUS+

  • CFA Gustave Eiffel – Bordeaux

 

Workshops on the art of circus for Rom children of the town of Amaliada and preparation for the summer 2017 performances.

Those actions were accomplished thanks to CEMEA AQUITAINE and ERASMUS +.

INSERT'NET BORDEAUX

 

From May 10 to 24, 2017 INSERT’NET has developed an urban cleaning project at LM Village of Myrsini.

There has been a perfect collaboration between INSERT’NET volunteers and LM Village Refugee Hosting Center’s residents.

INSERT’NET missions were:

 

  • The cleaning-up of waste / garbage in the Center

  • The site’s security and safety

  • The maintenance of green meadows and spaces

  • The greenhouse maintenance

 

 

The Refugee Hosting Center has been hosting up to 38 Syrian refugee families for over a year and still hosts a lot of Syrian refugees. The Center works under the Greek and European laws on Refugees and NGOs intervene in order to support English and Greek language lessons. They also organize activities for refugee children and adults.

 

Those actions were accomplished thanks to CEMEA AQUITAINE and ERASMUS +.

IRTS BORDEAUX

 

From May 18 to 29, IRTS of BORDEAUX (The Regional Social Work Institute) had the mission to create links between refugee and local communities by putting in place musical “mediation”.

 

Mrs. Edith MONTMOULINET, IRTS Bordeaux teacher with three of her students came to create a pedagogic working group with LM Village residents.

Circus performances, Athens, Gastouni & Olympia

 

From July 9 to 19 2017, a festival was organized by ASSO TEP association (Association Tout Est Possible) in partnership with Bordeaux’s Circus School (L’École de Cirque de Bordeaux) and Athens’s Circus School (Circus Dayz).

This event has enabled the audience to discover the contemporary circus world through Greek antique history, the love story between Alpheus and Arethusa. Thanks to the circus performers the three performances were widely appreciated.

 

  • In the Rom community of Amaliada- neighborhood of Papakafka (event created only and in honor of the Roms of Amaliada)

  • In Gastouni (performance incorporated in the 5th Pinios Municipality Festival)

  • In Olympia (performance in the frame of the International Ancient Olympia Festival)
